Multimedia Education and Courses in Nanotechnology

The "SYNCHROTRON Light" encyclopedia has been awarded the IAMS Prize for multimedia (2001)

"Combining interactivity, multidisciplinarity and a vocation to link education, science and industry, our Nanopolis™ encyclopedias series reveal actual knowledge that marks the three revolutions of the 21st century: nanotechnology, information science and molecular biology.
The "Exploring Matter with Synchrotron Light" CD-ROM is an interactive scientific mini-encyclopedia (640 pages) for students, teachers, industrials, scientists as well as the general public, being the first tome of the Nanopolis™ series , the world of micro and nanotechnologies.
iMediasoft® extracts the actual deep knowledge in new technologies and then inserts it in high educational systems by its powerful IT capabilities."

IAMS (International Association for Media in Science)
represents the major international associations for scientific media, numerous audio-visual centres of universities, production houses, and individual experts from all over the world.
IAMS promotes the production, documentation, preservation, distribution and use of audio-visual media and materials for the growth and communication of knowledge in the natural and human sciences, technology and medicine.

The selection of the prizewinner takes into account the strength and logic of the contents, the quality and diversity of the information, the homogeneity between the images, sound and text, the relevance and elegance of the navigation method, its adaptation for a target audience (those interested in science, those in Universities, or the scientific community in general). After a debate the prizewinner is chosen by an international jury.
